The plot, which was strategically located in an urban point meeting several residential developments, provided its most specific singularity to the building. Consequently, the leading variables affecting the project, such as morphology, location of the building within the plot, mandatory provision of at-grade car park and access to loading and unloading areas, determined the key aspects of the project.

We also tried to give the new building a special and iconic aspect that will differentiate it from surrounding blocks which outside claddings were mainly of roughing or brick. Otherwise, we made use of steel plate to bring out such particular, characteristic and peculiar style giving the building a metallic and shiny finish, synonymous with cleanliness and neatness and plastic image representing industrial architecture. Moreover, we considered necessary to follow the lining up of two façades (orient and midday), in order to reinforce the urban tendency of the building, a circumstance that resulted in the enveloping and curvilinear shape of plans.

This aspect of metal and waving container of the building contrasts from the ground floor with the openings and emptying of the upper floors, in which the steely coldness of the cladding material is replaced with wood panels treated with cellulose and phenolic resins. The purpose is to show other inner –touch-sensitive, soft and warmer– skin looking like a box appearing in the background and surrounded by the outer metal shell: a chest holding a wooden object. The new emerging skin, with defined rectilinear geometries and categorical vertical openings, emphasize its differentiating character with the composition criteria for the exterior façades , with prevailing curvesome shapes and oblong design.
