El Cañaveral is currently the greatest urban development in Madrid, consisting in large residential blocks with large green courtyards inside. Based on the same grid used to design the neighborhood , Hi! Cañaveral is an exclusive residential project with two main targets; On the one hand, to improve the environmental conditions of the interior green areas of the block, and on the other, to optimize the habitability conditions and orientation of the residential units.
In this way, and bypassing the traditional typology of block with interior patio, the project proposes a tower-block system that has different housing models with large terraces on its corners. Both the outdoor common areas and the atriums that provide access to the units have been carefully designed to make the most of natural light.
The facades are composed of square windows of different sizes adapted to the interior needs of each room. Moreover, this square form reinforce the cubic character of the towers. Finally, the combination of a dark colored brick and a light colored brick provides to the complex a clear and precise definition.
