The project, winner of a competition organized by the Madrid MUnicpality housing development Company, proposes the construction of 86 social rental homes in the Cañaveral neighborhood.
The design pursues two fundamental objectives: to maximize the residential program to obtain the greatest possible number of habitable units and to reduce construction times through a regular, industrial-grade geometry that optimizes the volume established by urban planning.
The 4.5-meter structural modulation, which provides economic efficiency and optimal use of space, is complemented by a 9-meter façade module, consistent with the typological structure of the block. The use of large-format precast concrete panels ensures speed and precision in assembly.
The building is a neutral and silent mega-structure, nuanced by textures of different scales and colors that provide definition and a domestic character to the industrialized elements.
